Roya is a 59 km long river that runs through France and Italy, divided between the Maritime Alps. The river rises in the mountains of Tende and flows into the Mediterranean Sea, the Ligurian Sea.

More than seven months ago, Alex, an exceptional storm swept through the Roya Valley, destroying a large part of the infrastructure, causing huge landslides and preventing some villages from getting supplies to live. The river literally devoured everything on its banks, causing huge landslides that blocked roads and bridges, now being rebuilt.

I wanted to understand how these masses of stone got in my way, trying to analyse them and give them another shape. The storm left scars in its path, the remains of houses, machinery and scrap metal that also imposed themselves, leaving a trace of the storm.
